Three artists from Hong Kong, Hangzhou and Taiwan will exhibit their works in a William Zhao-curated exhibition at Galerie Perrotin later this month. From July 24 until August 23, Tsang Kin Wah, Cheng Ran and Yang Yi Shiang will show works that will look to address the current state we live in through their artistic points of view.
Hong Kong artist Tsang Kin Wah uses transcending anguish and discontent through subtle impressions in his paintings to evoke a sense of sexual suppression that people suffer from today.
Cheng Ran from Hangzhou uses humour to criticise the digital world and takes a look at how temptation and loneliness is rampant among city dwellers. His work will be on display in the form of a short film he created in collaboration with Carina Lau.
Finally, young female artist Yang Yi Shiang from Taiwan uses her delicate paintings to display the complexity and weaknesses of humanity, inspired by the ten-year relationship with her former boyfriend.
