Ahead of Christie’s Magnificent Jewels and Iconic Hong Kong Jewellery Designers spring sale, the auction house hosted an exclusive cocktail reception at the Convention and Exhibition Centre, where guests were able to preview the exquisite jewellery that was set to go under the hammer. This season also featured jewels from several Hong Kong jewellery designers including Adrian Cheng, Cindy Chao, Edmond Chin and Michelle Ong-Cheung. The result was a success as the auction was 100% sold, with Edmond Chin’s Colombian emerald and diamond necklace for the House of Boghossian fetching HK$46.4 million—well above estimates and setting a world auction record for no oil Colombian emeralds.
