Spencer Fung is the group executive chairman of Li & Fung, the supply chain conglomerate set up more than century ago by his great grandfather. Spencer began his career as an accountant in the US before showing his entrepreneurial side with HelloAsia.com, a tech start-up offering a pan-Asian online marketing platform that he co-founded in 1999 with US$30 million of funding. He joined Li & Fung as a merchandiser in 2001 and has been involved in all aspects of its operations, ascending to the top role in 2020 after spending six years as the group’s CEO, before which he was COO. He has pushed for digitisation of services, as well as trying to guide the industry towards more sustainable practices.

Also an independent non-executive director of Swire Properties, Fung is a member of the General Committee of The Hong Kong Exporters’ Association and representative of Hong Kong to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Business Advisory Council. The son of Victor and Julia, and the brother of and Stephen, he is married to Sabrina Pang, with whom he has three children.
