The stylish entrepreneur takes us through a typical week, and tells us where we might find her outside of the office

When you think of Kotur, you think of chic evening clutches, stylish shoes and designs that are classic but always en vogue. Fiona Kotur-Marin’s clients range from socialites to style icons. When Kotur-Marin isn’t in her Sheung Wan design studio, she’s often at home playing the role of mother and wife. She tells us about some of her favourite things and takes us through a typical week of hers:

I love being in Sheung Wan because it’s a neighborhood, with character, history and some grit. Here’s hoping it stays that way.

The best coffee is at Café Loisl, until recently a quiet, artisanal café on Pound Lane, but still available for catering and special events.

My favourite cocktail is a dry martini, shaken up by husband.

Training with Beth Narain is my favourite workout, she definitely keeps me in shape

Mak Noodles (on Wellington Street) certainly helps with getting rid of any hangover.

When I’m in the mood to splurge there’s no hesitation in immediately checking www.1stdibs.com

When I need to get away from it all, I like to get lost in a good book. Excited to read Janice Lee’s new novel The Expatriates, launching soon.

We all have guilty pleasures, and like most people anything chocolate, and Ms B’s crunch cake is something I can’t resist

Sadly I don’t have a “glam squad” but I do the best I can at home with the blow dryer and eyelash curler in the half hour I have between kids’ activities and black tie events!

My favourite places to eat have to be at the bar of Upper Modern Bistro, in a private room with dear friends or at Wagyu Kaiseki Den, or at home with family and the help of Secret Ingredient.

When I’ve been away from Hong Kong, my first stop upon my return is a trip to Happy Foot

A Day in the Life is a new HongKongTatler.com series focusing on the places, people, and guilty pleasures around Hong Kong
