We spent a day with the wife, mother, and entrepreneur – and we struggled to keep up with her!
Never one to do anything small - Jaime Ku always seems to be living life in the fast lane. Between juggling her multiple business ventures, hosting some of the most memorable events, and being a doting mother and wife, she rarely gets a moment to herself.
She tells us how she manages to do it all, and where you may find her during her downtime:
I spent much of my formative years studying and working abroad but Hong Kong is my heart. The city’s energy, the people, and the cuisine – it’s a big part of who I am and most importantly my family is here, and my family is everything.
People often ask how I stay in shape – little do they know my workout is often running around town for work or running around to do things for my two daughters, its more demanding than people think!
Whenever I have time off, I just love to stay at home and do nothing. Whenever the kids have time off from school – we love to just take a short trip somewhere within the region
My favourite cocktail is the Southside from Lily – mixology is art and I really appreciate the amount of work and precision that goes into a great cocktail.
After a long night I love a hot shower, a massage, and a proper sleep – sadly these are very rare to come by nowadays
My favourite dish at the moment is the uni and lobster pasta at Bloom – it really is to die for.
I think when it comes to shopping and fashion, I don’t really have any urges to splurge – I buy what I need and do what I have to do, even my husband thinks I’m too practical!
My guilty pleasure has to be getting my hair done. I’ve got a guy who has a quaint little private salon in Sheung Wan that he runs with his wife. It’s got a cool vintage shop front that sells anything from jewellery to radios and furniture from the 1960s. He’s notoriously slow – but he is fantastic.
