Highlights of the Holiday Season:

“At last year’s Fayre of St. Johns’, I especially liked and was very moved by the wonderful readings, speeches and songs at the church last year, so I am really looking forward to that again this year. Who doesn’t love to feast on delicious treats without guilt or dressing up and celebrating with loved ones. I love the days just before Christmas the most. The excitement in the air, the festivity of Christmas lights and watching people do last minute shopping, rushing around I love that feeling.” – Tania Mohan

Your Favourite Christmas Holiday Tradition:

“Every Christmas has been memorable yet the best is once we were in Phuket with our friends and family. We opened our Christmas gifts by the Christmas tree in our bikinis, and jumping in the pool for a Christmas morning dip!” – Sharie Ross-Tse

On Addressing Cancer:

“Cancer has stricken the lives of so many people.  I have had too many family members that have suffered through the trials of cancer.  My father was one of the lucky ones to discover his liver cancer early enough before it spread.  We thank my mum for telling my dad that he looked off’ and sent him to get a check-up!  We celebrate his ‘new’ birthday every year.  It is a sad, scary and terrible disease and too many are not lucky.  We need to find a cure, but in the meantime, having a place for support is essential.” – Audry Ai-Morrow

The Importance of Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre:

“I’m on the board of Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre and help year round with many fundraising aspects, the Fayre is the largest annual fundraiser event.  I am keen to help those affected by cancer as it is a life changing moment to find out one has been affected by cancer.  Maggie’s provides the support needed during a very difficult time. It is important to stay positive and have this support system when battling cancer.  Anyone can help by committing their time, resource or donations.  Please visit the website for additional details.” – Anne Wang-Liu
