HongKongTatler.com spoke with Benedict Ku, the epitome of a contemporary gentlemen, about what Father’s Day means to him, how he plans to spend it, and what he loves about Pacific Place’s fan-tache-tic and fun activities:

Hong Kong Tatler: What does being a father mean to you?
Benedict Ku: Priorities change. I'm now responsible for my children's well being. Any future plans I have now revolve around my children.

HKT: What is the significance of Father’s Day to you?
BK: It's different now that I'm a father myself. I realise what a pain in the neck of a son I must've been growing up. I hope my dad knows that I love him very dearly, and that I hope to be a good father just like him.

HKT: What are your fondest memories of Father’s Day?
BK: Each year, we always have a Father's Day dinner. Honestly, the meal itself is nothing special, but I often look back on this very special day and try to remember all the terrible things my brother and I did as kids. I feel very blessed and lucky that my dad is still here to love and support me, and of course to give me a hard time once in a while.

HKT: How will you celebrate Father’s Day this year?
BK: In the past, it's always just been a big family dinner. However, now that I've got a father-in-law and two daughters of my own, I feel that it is time for a new Father's Day routine!

HKT: As part of Pacific Place’s Fan-tache-tic Father’s Day campaign, what did you enjoy most about the Scotch Whisky Tasting pop-up?
BK: It covers a wide range of Single Malts, which allows you to really understand the different characteristics of each batch coming from the different distilleries.

HKT: What do you think makes a great whisky?
BK: It really depends on what you're looking for. Whisky is a very personal kind of spirit. However, I feel that the different types of oak each distillery uses, and what they do to it when making their casks, has to be what makes each brand of Scotch unique and special.

HKT: What about the O’Young’s Future Stars car racing simulation?
BK: It's so real! I enjoyed everything about it. It's not very often that I get to drive very fast, especially with kids in my car these days.

HKT: What kind of activities do you play with your kids?
BK: All you need is a few colour pencils and some sheets of paper. You'll be amazed at how creative children are!
