The Managing Director of the Zimmern stockbroking firm – and ring enthusiaist show us why less is more doesn't always apply

“Wearing a lot of rings amuses me. When someone says ‘That’s too many,’ I know I’ve got it about right. I have very long fingers and a wide handspan, which allows me to wear a dramatic collection of rings on my fingers at once. To bring out the brilliance, I clean my rings with Alka-Seltzer or toothpaste and a small toothbrush. I get a professional manicure every two weeks—always a square shape, never pointy—and I match my rocks to my polish; beige, pink and pearl are the most flattering colours. Have fun and don’t be afraid to mix fine jewellery with costume. People often say, ‘Blue and green should never be seen without a colour in between.’ Well, I do blue with green—but I always have diamonds in between!” - Carol Murray
