Cementing the city as the style capital of Asia, the HKTDC presents a star-studded stylish double showcase with top designers, global brands, and new talents in the region's largest fashion showcase

January’s HKTDC Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter and HKTDC World Boutique, Hong Kong are set to be star-studded events with top designers, global brands and new talents seeing in the New Year in style. Both events will run from January 19 to January 22 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, showcasing a wide array of international top brands and revealing the latest fashion trends. It provides an ideal business platform for industry players.

The  two fairs will welcome some 1,800 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions including first-time participants from Greece, Finland, Nepal, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa and group pavilions from Japan, Taiwan and Indonesia. The Finland-Hong Kong Trade Association and the Thailand Textile Institute will also organise new group pavilions to participate in the exhibition.

The Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter is the largest of its kind in Asia. Worldwide buyers are able to do one-stop sourcing in more than 20 different product zones at the fair. To cater the needs of functional clothing, the Thermal Clothing zone will debut at the Fashion Week. The two events together feature more than 30 runway shows and parades, including Hong Kong icons and fashion favourites i.t, MOISELLE and Shanghai Tang. The grand fashion show “Hong Kong Fashion Extravaganza 2015 presented by Audi Hong Kong” will showcase the latest fashions from internationally celebrated fashion designers: Hong Kong's designer duo Eri Chu and Philip Chu; New York designer Loris Diran; award-winning Chinese fashion designer Wang Yutao from Beijing; and Swedish couture fashion designer Lars Wallin.

The fair will also feature the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest, with one of the world’s most influential voices in the fashion world, H&M Creative Advisor Margareta van den Bosch, as VIP judge. She is the creative force behind the worldwide success of Sweden’s H&M, and is well known for seeking out new talent and emerging designers.

World Boutique, Hong Kong will open its doors to the public (aged 12 or above) on January 22, the final day of the event from 9.30am to 5pm. Public Day activities include Vintage Fashion Parade, Fashion Upcycling Demo, Makeup Demo by M.A.C Hong Kong Senior Artist Ryuko Lau, celebrity entertainment events, fashion parades and lucky draws. The public will have a chance to purchase the latest fashion items directly from the design companies during the Public Day.
