Marc Jacobs’ tattoo artist Scott Campbell makes his mark on the models and the manbags of Louis Vuitton’s spring collection
In the fashion world, tattoos have long become a form of artistic expression, in fact, when you meet Louis Vuitton's creative director Marc Jacobs, one of the first things you'll notice is the various tattoos he has across his body.
To celebrate this art form - as Marc Jacobs does - Louis Vuitton invites celebrity tattoo artist Scott Campbell to collaborate in its spring collection: the models strutted down the runway with temporary tattoos and the brand presented a new line of accessories, adorned by the penstrokes of Campbell.
Based in Brooklyn, he works from his studio Saved Tattoo in Williamsburg. Campbell is Marc Jacobs' tattoo artist and boasts a stellar celebrity clientele that includes Courtney Love and the late Heath Ledger.
In the video above, we bring you into the Louis Vuitton workshop with Campbell to follow his design journey for the French fashion house.
