Malaysia Tatler’s cover story for this year’s green issue features a few protagonists and their campaigns to improve the environment and protect Mother Earth

With the deteriorating state of the world’s ecosystem and natural environment, it was only fitting that we highlight some of Malaysia’s eco-warriors who have constantly pushed forward, at times – making their concerns heard and getting the people to change their irresponsible ways. And like with most greenies it was not an easy task getting these ‘Friends of the Earth’ – Datin Sri Rowena Baker, Dato' Dr Dionysius Sharma, Puan Sri Shariffa Sabrina Syed Akil and the two men from the Berjaya Group, Abel Nang and Michael Tan – to agree to being featured.

From trekking up mountains and climbing down hills; wading through chin-deep rivers carrying equipment and even scuba diving in the South China Sea just to get that perfect shot – despite the obstacles, we trooped through with determination to bring our readers an exciting green issue this month. At the end of the day, we hope that after reading the Malaysia Tatler’s July cover story, you become as inspired as we have to go green.
