Designer’s Background
Chinese-born, Paris-based designer Yiqing Yin joined Leonard as its design director in 2014; the spring/summer 2015 collection marks her sophomore effort. Hollywood starlets from Elizabeth Banks to Beyoncé have been seen sporting looks by Leonard in recent years.
Design Signatures
Leonard first made its name in the 1950s, when it became synonymous with floral motifs emblazoned on silk jersey dresses, which at the time was a revolutionary new process in printing.
Latest Collection
Yin looks back to the house’s archives for prints, but also injects a youthful energy with floral-printed boyfriend jeans, bikini tops under flowing silk shirts, as well as the use of multicoloured Lurex jacquard.
