What do luxury Swiss watches, Italian sports cars and French fine dining have in common? Earlier last week on May 10, esteemed watchmaking brand Blancpain celebrated its newest flagship boutique in Central by joining forces with the brand’s long-term friends Lamborghini and Joël Robuchon.

The event kicked off with the arrival of Blancpain’s prestigious friends, who rode to the store in style in brightly coloured, Blancpain-branded Lamborghini. The festive ribbon cutting ceremony was joined by Blancpain’s VP and Head of Marketing Alain Delamuraz, VP and Head of Sales Marc Junod, Blancpain VP Hong Kong and Macau Jalil Elkouch-Bordier, Director of Lamborghini Hong Kong Albert Wong, and renowned chef Joël Robuchon.

Shortly after a jovial lion dance, special guests and partners were able to explore the new store and feast their eyes on the brand’s Basel 2016 novelties, unique timepieces and boutique exclusive collections  as they sipped on champagne. An on-site watchmaker also showed off his horological craftsmanship during the live demonstration at the cocktail event. To round off the evening, VIP guests were invited to savour chef Robuchon’s exquisite gastronomy at L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, where selected Blancpain timepieces were displayed throughout the dining space.

Spanning 1,200 ft., the Blancpain flagship is elegantly furnished with wood, evoking the traditional watchmaker’s bench, the effect which evokes the relaxing and pleasant ambiance of a family home.
