Audemars Piguet Focus

From September 3 to 8, Audemars Piguet will host a dynamic exhibition to celebrate the launch of the latest addition to the Millenary Collection for women. The exhibition has been designed to reflect the aesthetic and design elements of the Millenary timepieces, embodying Audemars Piguet’s haute horology technique that demonstrates a combination of modern design infused with a feminine touch. With the latest addition to the Millinenary Collection featuring the new manufacture hand-wound 5201 movement, the event also co-incides with the 20th anniversary celebration of the watchmaker’s first unique oval-shape designed timepiece.

Showcasing Audemars Piguet’s longterm devotion to women’s watches, the exhibition will highlight 27 historial timepieces that have been borrowed from the Audemars Piguet Museum in La Brassus. With collections dating back over 130 years, the exhibit offers an immersive experience that takes guests back to the 1920s with the renowned Art Deco watches to the 21st century Millenary high jewellery collection in 2008, allowing guests the opportunity to revisit the brand’s extensive history of crafting exceptional timepieces for women.

The consistent theme of the exhibition is Audemars Piguet’s ability to constantly challenge expectations and break the conventions of traditional watchmaking while honouring the highest level of watchmaking and gem-setting traditions.

With guests of honour including Dee Poon and Michele Reis set to attend the highly-anticipated opening night, the exhibition will also include live watchmaking demonstrations that showcase the brand’s expertise in producing women’s timepieces since 1883.

The Audemars Piguet Millenary Exhibition will run from September 3 to 8, 2015 at the Oval Atrium within IFC Mall
