Combining haute couture and horlogerie we list our five favourite timepieces from the 2015 edition of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genéve

Audemars Piguet Millenary

Created over 20 years ago, Audemars Piguet has reinterpreted the Millenary in an intricately considered design that reflects the versatility of the woman who wears it. The elegant new addition to the collection is a favourite of Dee Poon largely because it’s seen to challenge the design perceptions of women’s watches today. The new version of the timepiece is a balance between high watchmaking and high jewellery, giving the Millenary and those who wear it a distinctly en vogue characteristic.

Piaget Altiplano 1200S

Exclusively available in select Piaget boutiques, the Altipano 1200S combines the expertise of Piaget haute horlorgerie and high jewellery with the Altiplano gem-set skeleton automatic watch dazzling with its 1200D movement, with a fully gem-set bottom plate and working parts. A prowess that requires over four days of work for a single movement, Piaget has elevated its art to the point of concealing the feet of the screws under black sapphires cabochons. Delicately gem-set between the mainplate, bezel, the sapphire case back and bracelet buckle, 360 brilliant-cut diamonds superbly enhance the precious composition of this luxury watch.

Chaumet Joséphine Aigrette Impériale

Strength and delicacy, balance and movement, the Joséphine collection expresses the distinct Chaumet style where geometric motifs inspired by classic architecture embrace the vibrant movements of the present moment. Like sparkling droplets, almost 1,400 stones adorn the timepiece like a dazzling light. The Aigrette Impériale is feminine yet versatile, the timepiece has over 17 carats of white diamonds giving it a gentle and warm radiance. The most refined details mark the bracelet out: each link is made of two parts, and a slight opening is left between them, which lets the piece breathe and give again a subtle impression of lightness.
