Watches & Wonders kicks off in late September, and we at Hong Kong Tatler always look forward to the Cartier timepieces featured at the annual horlorgical event. This year is no different with the Clé de Cartier Flying Tourbillon shown in an entirely diamond-set case and containing all the watchmaking symbols of Cartier’s rich heritage.
With particular attention paid to the finishing of its 142 parts, as with all Cartier watchmaking movements, the parts of this mechanical movement with manual winding have been given a specific finish, chamfered bridges, drawn flanks, and polished screw heads. As a result of this collection of highly regulated finishes, the criteria for obtaining the ‘Poinçon de Genève” serving as a signature of the skilled work conducted with respect to traditional Swiss watchmaking at the Cartier workshops in Geneva.
The Clé de Cartier Flying Tourbillon is a combination of fine watchmaking paired with Cartier’s elegant finishing, a perfectly harmonious combination that reflects the high standard Cartier has built their esteemed reputation upon.
