With Wimbledon making a racket around the world we can’t stop thinking about strawberries, the ultimate courtside snack. Here are six decadent fruit-filled treats to try

Wimbledon is under way and the strawberry and cream connoisseurs are out in full force. To rally enough energy to support our favourite players from so far afield, we’re feasting on our favourite seasonal strawberry treats from the top restaurants in Hong Kong. Here are six that emphatically declare, ‘Game, set and match!’

C’est La B

Luxurious treats and Bonnae Gokson go hand in hand, so it’s no surprise that Ms B’s taster-size strawberry cake, Melting Moment, is at the top of this list. Melting Moment combines fresh strawberries and cream with layers of exceptionally light vanilla chiffon cake and delicate berry macaroons. This bite-sized fancy, available at C’est La B, is more than enough to curb any sweet craving, but if you’re hankering for something a little more substantial, pop over to Ms B’s Cakery, where you can get the large cake version—just make sure to share.

If a more substantial strawberry feast is what you’re hunting for, look no further than this Strawberry and Citrus afternoon tea set available high in the sky at Café 103. The citrus perfectly cuts through the natural sugars of the berry-filled set, and the savoury bites balance out even the strongest sugar rush. We’re still reminiscing about two of the individually portioned desserts, the vanilla strawberry tart and the strawberry sandwich.

There’s nothing more comforting than a warm berry crumble, and the macadamias in Le Garçon Saigon’s version with rhubarb and strawberries add a delightful crunch. This classic, much-loved dish perfectly couples slowly cooked rhubarb and strawberries and is finished off with a generous scoop of ice cream.

This strawberry garden created by executive chef Uwe Opocensky combines two of our favourite ingredients, fruit and cookies, in one dish. Japanese strawberries flanked by strawberry-shaped strawberry ice cream sit on a bed of “soil” created from Oreo cookies and chocolate mousse. The result is simple, delicate and leaves us wanting more.

Caprice pastry chef Nicolas Lambert is no stranger to spinning magic from pastry and sugar. His latest pièce de résistance is La Fraise Gariguette, un Sorbet au Champagne—a strawberry celebration made with whipped sorbet and champagne. The Gariguette strawberries, a famous French variety that boasts an intensely sweet taste, steal the show here.

Panna cotta, a traditional Italian dessert of sweetened cream thickened with gelatin, is known for its soft and subtle taste and texture. Executive chef Joey Sergentakis' rendition is flavoured with elderflower, a refreshing take on the classic. Strawberry and rhubarb add an intense layer of flavour, and the mini masterpiece is completed with a delicious rosé champagne consommé.
