Penhaligon’s Afternoon Tea at The Four Seasons Hotel

Inspired by the British perfume house Penhaligon’s, pastry chef Ringo Chan of the Four Seasons is designing a new selection of treats inspired by the brand’s latest scent, the Equinox Bloom, which showcases notes of brown sugar and Chantilly cream and floral aroma that follows. Notable new customised creations by chef Ringo include jasmine lemon cake pops, rose and pink praline éclair, and aqua sphere and white peach verrine,  as well as a selection of afternoon tea buffet items.

Mothers visiting the Lounge at Four Seasons from 3:00pm to 5:30pm on May 8 can enjoy the Penhaligon’s three-tier afternoon tea set together with an array of dessert buffet selections. The buffet is priced at HK$385 per person, with an additional option of a glass of Champagne Ruinart Blanc de Blanc for HK$180. Guests will also receive a complimentary 8ml Equinox atomizer as souvenir.

Guerlain x The Langham Afternoon Tea

The French costmetic brand Guerlain is launching a new makeup collection named La Petite Robe Noire, inspired by the timeless little black dress. To celebrate the launch, the brand is collaborating with The Langham to present a special afternoon tea set from May 8th to 31st. Guests attending the afternoon tea on Mother’s Day will include an exclusive complimentary package of makeup items including Abeille Royale Express facial treatment or full makeup service, as well as Abeille Royal Honey nectar lotion at selected Guerlain boutiques, among a few other makeup items from the exclusive collection. Family Brunch at Fish & Meat

Having recently launched a new a la carte menu, Fish & Meat is featuring an array of seasonal items at its Sunday Brunch on Mother’s Day. Guests can enjoy a starter buffet featuring various salads, cold cuts and mixed seafood, followed by a choice of mains and desserts. The restaurant is also setting up an a la minute buttermilk pancake station where guests can choose their own toppings on their freshly made pancakes, complete with a choice of tipple to celebrate with mum.

Floral Fantasy at Tycoon Tann

Tycoon Tann is transforming into a floral fantasy for guests this Mother’s Day, as the restaurant presents a new art exhibition by local artist Queenie-Rosita Law, complete with an eight-course special menu for the occasion. The freshly designed healthy menu is served from May 6 to 8, showcasing the Cantonese restaurant’s signatures such as baked avocado stuffed with fresh crabmeat, onion, and cheese, braised garoupa fillet with black garlic and beancurd, and Tycoon Tann crispy salted chicken etc. Guests visiting Tycoon Tann for the Mother’s Day set menu will receive a complimentary box of Frederic Blondeel chocolates for a sweet ending.

Tropical Celebration at Issaya Siamese Club

Would mom like a celebration with a tropical twist? Such is presented at the weekend semi-buffet lunch at Issaya Siamese Club. Its contemporary Thai cuisine by chef Ian Kittichai shines through a rotating selection of fresh appetizers such as yum hua plee (banana blossom and heart of palm salad), yum som o (pomelo salad with wok-sauteed tiger shrimps) among many. Guests can freely choose one of six signature mains, and complete with a sweet ending with Thai flavoured macarons or jasmine flower panna cotta.

Guests attending the first seating of brunch on Mother’s Day weekend (May 7 and 8) will receive a 15% discount.

Cake for the Queen at Ms. B’s Cakery

You cannot celebrate Mother’s Day without a proper cake. Ms. B’s Cakery by Bonnae Gokson is launching a trio of Mother’s Day special cakes just in time for the celebration of mother’s love. Touched with pastels and intricate piping, each cake is decorated with intricate sugar-art flowers. The three varieties include:

- Blossom with bloom pastel (banana split sundae on a cake with pale pink sponge biscuits and decorated with rainbow-hued sugar art carnations)
- Bloom red (banana split sundae in moist cake layered with pink sponge biscuits, topped with red sugar carnations)
- Queen of queens (Beetroot chiffon cake with cherry jelly, raspberries and cream)

The three Mother’s Day special cakes are priced ranging from HK$550 to HK$2,200, and two-day advance reservations are mandatory for cake orders.
