Experience limited summer offerings throughout June, with plenty of guest chefs and special menus
Despite the horrid humidity of Hong Kong, summer may just be our favourite time of year. The seemingly perpetual sunshine makes us want to go out and find new things to do in the city. Luckily, there are lots of special dining events happening this June, and we’re round up some of our favourites – so no excuses not to go out.
ISONO
What: The ‘King of Carbonara’ Luciano Monosilio from Rome’s Pipero al Rex will present a five-course dinner menu, kicking off Isono’s summer of Roman-inspired dining events and dishes. It goes without saying that Monosilio’s carbonara is definitely on the menu.

THE LANDMARK MANDARIN ORIENTAL
What: Hertog Jan’s head chef Gert De Mangeleer will bring modern Belgian cuisine to discerning diners over three nights, using seasonal vegetables grown at the restaurant’s own farm and imported daily exclusively for the event.

MAN WAH
What: Da Rong He, the famed Sichaun restaurant from Chengdu, returns to Hong Kong for a week-long pop-up featuring over 25 signatures dishes, many of which the Da Rong He team are bringing for the first time.

PIERRE
What: The legendary Pierre Gagnaire returns to Hong Kong to launch his Air de Paris summer tasting menu, featuring French ingredients available during the summer.

SPASSO
What: A five-course menu offering crafted by renowned Italian chef Luigi Pomata, paired with critically-acclaimed wines from Pala Estate in Sardinia. A ten-dish a la carte selection is also available.

STEIK WORLD MEATS
What: ‘The Rocker Chef’ Rolando Laudico will bring a taste of modern Filipino cuisine to Steik World Meats as part of the restaurant’s fifth year anniversary, in collaboration with a handful of guest chefs and the group executive chef Brian Moore.

TIN LUNG HEEN
What: An exquisite wine-pairing menu of Cantonese cuisine, featuring a selection of wines from Château Montrose in Bordeaux, carefully curated by Tin Lung Heen’s chef de cuisine Paul Lau and sommelier Benson Yan.
