If you think afternoon teas can’t get anymore British, think again: Aberdeen Street Social has joined forces with premier spa brand Cowshed to create a limited-time afternoon tea set that celebrates the “Made in England” spirit.

Those familiar with both institutions will agree that they are a perfect match for the partnership: the Central-based restaurant has been lauded for its modern take on British cuisine, while the skincare label — conceived at a cowshed in the English countryside — is known for its nourishing bath, body and skincare products made from wild-crafted plant extracts that wouldn’t look out of place in an English garden.

Taking inspiration from Cowshed’s all-natural and organic approach, the tea set will feature an array of floral and fruity ingredients, such as mandarin, lavender and rose. Each treat will feature a blend of those elements and a quintessentially British delicacy, such as the Queen Victoria sponge cake with candy rose and strawberry and the Eton mess with lemon and lavender cream and Duchy chocolate choux.

At the end of the meal, guests will also receive a travel-sized duo of Cowshed products that echoes the aromatic dishes at the tea special. That includes the Knackered Cow Lotion with lavender and eucalyptus and Wild Cow Bath and Shower Gel with lemongrass, ginger and rosemary essential oils. Now you can bring the spirit of Britain home.

The Aberdeen Street Social and Cowshed Afternoon Tea set is available between 2:30pm and 5:30pm every Monday to Friday from May 2 to 31, 2016. A tea set for two costs HK $288.
