The exclusive collaboration invites two chefs from Japan’s esteemed restaurants: Florilege and Den

Following the success of its ‘Friends of Amber’ collaboration series, Landmark Mandarin Oriental is inviting two of Japan’s most innovative restaurants to Hong Kong this September for a rare six-hands crossover opportunity with the hotel’s culinary director Richard Ekkebus.

For one-night only on September 26, Amber will be home to the rare collaboration, where Richard Ekkebus will prepare a special menu with chefs Hiroyasu Kawate of Florilege and Zaiyu Hasegawa of Den. Ranking 14th at this year’s Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant’s list, chef Kawate is known for his inventive take on classic French cuisine with local ingredients. Meanwhile, Den’s Zaiyu Hasegawa is celebrated by his innovative, and often a playful interpretation of Japanese culture and culinary traditions through his cuisine with a unique contemporary twist.

The three esteemed chefs are collaborating for a special 12-course six-hand dinner menu, which marks the return of Friends of Amber series; past featured chefs include Andre Chiang, Virgilio Martinez,  and el Bulli’s Ferran Adria . The one-night only dinner takes place on September 26, 2017, and is priced at HK$2,688 per person.
