The creative chef will take over the kitchen at Brasserie on the Eighth for an 11-day culinary showcase

This autumn is the season for pop-ups, from the trio of culinary masters at Landmark Mandarin to Shanghai’s hairy crab master at Yan Toh Heen, Brasserie on the Eighth of the Conrad is getting a pop-up restaurant of its own from Australia, as acclaimed chef Luke Mangan is heading to Hong Kong to set up an 11-day pop up this October.

Inspired by Salt, Mangan’s restaurant in Australia, the pop up restaurant will take place at the premise of Brasserie on the Eighth from October 13 to 23. During the 11-day promotion, chef Mangan will showcase his inventive cooking techniques and the freshest produce in preparing some of his signature dishes, which will be served in the form of a six-course or eight-course set menu. Look for chef Mangan’s unique creations such as:

- Handpicked crab omelette, miso broth and Thai salad
-Kingfish sashimi, ginger and shallot, Persian feta and wild rocket
- Slow cooked waygu beef, pumpkin puree, fricassee of asparagus, wild mushrooms, dates, almonds, and
preserved orange
- Barramundi with Asian greens and crab meat

Chef Luke Mangan’s pop-up dinner menus are available from October 13 to 23, and is priced at HK$998 and HK$1,188 respectively. Some of the set menu items are also available as a la carte options, as well as selections at semi-buffet lunch and weekend brunch sessions.
