What: Fancy a luxury, sky-high festive dining experience? The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong’s new “Steiff Teddy Bear Festive Afternoon Tea” served at The Lounge & Bar and Café 103 is sure to please.

Collaborating with the German plush toy manufacturer Steiff, this Christmas afternoon tea is dedicated to paying homage to the prestigious toy brand’s history, which showcases a beautiful spread of holiday-themed treats that will be a feast for your eyes and taste buds.

Served on a lovely teddy bear-shaped stand, the set offers tempting savoury items such as smoked salmon rillettes with pickled beetroot on pumpernickel, roasted chestnut and wild mushroom sandwich, and mini puff with sweet potato, ham and goat cheese. On the sweet side, you’ll find traditional Christmas fruit cake, German spiced cookie, pumpkin and cinnamon cheesecake, to name just a few. What: Treat yourself and your loved ones to a decadent afternoon tea experience at The Murray this Christmas. Known for its beautiful, well-lit setting, the Garden Lounge is offering a new tea set filled with a spread of holiday-themed treats that can be enjoyed al fresco or on a pet-friendly terrace. Highlights of the menu include savouries such as foie gras on toasted brioche with mulled wine, choux puff with saffron lobster salad, smoked salmon with dill cream cheese and sturgeon caviar, as well as desserts such as chocolate and earl grey tea sandwich cookie, raspberry and white peach verrine and freshly baked scones.

For those who are looking to enjoy a scrumptious afternoon tea in a stylish setting, opt for Popinjays' festive set. Looking both delicious and pretty, the set includes savouries such as duck foie gras torchon with red mulled wine gelee and pain d'épice, and smoked sturgeon and egg sandwich with caviar, as well as sweet pastries such as cranberries and five-spice fromage blanc tart and milk chocolate with candied orange.

What: Christmas trees, Santa and gingerbread men are all part of the game at The Langham Hong Kong’s new seasonal afternoon tea. Served in the elegant dining space, Palm Court, the special menu features an enticing range of holiday-themed teatime treats such as Scottish salmon dome with crab meat and tomato glaze, Parma ham and asparagus finger sandwich with figs jam, as well as pigs-in-a-blanket with ginger and cranberry compote.

On the sweet side, there are dainty desserts such as raspberry tart with frangipane and raspberry mousse, gingerbread men sandwich with caramel and mascarpone filling, mini red velvet yule log, as well as warm scones served with Devonshire clotted cream, strawberry jam homemade rose preserve.  

Guests can also opt for a two-hour free-flow champagne package at an additional HK$298 per person. Reservations for December 12, 27-30 and January 2-3, made before November 25 will enjoy an early-bird discount of 25 per cent.

What: Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with a lavish afternoon tea at Statement. Joining forces with Ruinart Champagne, the contemporary British restaurant is offering a beautiful tea set with a selection of traditional teatime delicacies presented on a metal spiral art piece­ created by world-acclaimed designer and architect Ron Arad.  

Guests can sample savoury items including roast beef and pickle sandwich, cheese puffs and egg sandwiches with salmon roe. Those with a sweet tooth will be satisfied with desserts such as vanilla honey cream choux, cinnamon carrot cake, raspberry and lemon tart, as well as homemade scones and jams. Besides a selection of fine British teas, you can also pair your meal with a glass of luxury Ruinart Blanc de Blancs champagne for a truly indulgent dining experience.

Four Seasons Hong Kong is celebrating Christmas with a sumptuous afternoon tea set featuring all kinds of festive delicacies to impress even the most discerning diner this season. Available for both dine-in and takeaway, the set showcases a premium selection of treats delicately crafted by the hotel’s executive pastry chef Ringo Chan, including savouries such as truffle brie cheese and walnut puff, mini pesto slider with Iberico ham and Manchego cheese; and sweets such as petit chocolate and mandarin yule log, gingerbread man, mulled berries snowman macaron and many more.

7. St. Regis Hong Kong

What: For a truly elegant afternoon tea experience in a luxurious setting, The Drawing Room at The St. Regis Hong Kong is the ideal place to be. To celebrate the festive season, the five-star hotel will be launching a Christmas afternoon tea with an assortment of treats masterfully crafted by the hotel’s chefs Vincent Leroux and Chad Yamagata. 

Served from a dim sum-inspired trolley where guests can choose their own preferred treats, you’ll find a tantalising lineup of savoury bites such as golden foie gras on a gingerbread, sea urchin bavarois with smoked salmon roe, and tartlet with cepes and quail eggs in onion powder, to name just a few. Festive sweet treats including an Instagrammable vanilla mousse on a pain de gene with orange marmalade, strawberry yule log and dried fruit cake—a traditional take of walnut, lemon and orange peel cake—will be offered as well. The afternoon tea is complete with a choice of tea or coffee, and you can also toast your decadence with a glass of The Caroline 400 champagne at an addition HK$138.

What: Chocolate lovers will be delighted to see Hotel Icon’s new Christmas afternoon tea menu. Partnering with legendary Belgian chocolatier Godiva, this heavenly set features a wide array of savoury and sweet treats that will satisfy any chocolate craving, including foie gras chocolate parfait, beef ragout vol-au-vent in savoury chocolate sauce, candied orange and hazelnut waffle with dark chocolate cream, cherry black forest, and more. Diners will also be able to enjoy unlimited signature Godiva soft serve ice cream. 

Besides an extensive selection of coffees and teas from TWG Tea, guests can also choose to pair their meal with free-flow champagne or French sparkling at an additional HK$298 and HK$98 respectively.

What: Woobar at W Hong Kong is launching a fancy afternoon tea to delight beauty lovers this Christmas. Taking inspiration from the beauty brand M.A.C’s Frosted Firework Holiday Collection, the new tea set offers a medley of delectable finger bites crafted by Rafa Gil, the hotel’s executive chef; and Baptiste Villefranque, the executive pastry chef.  

In addition to savouries such as apple ravioli with pumpkin seeds, a seafood trio featuring crab meat with mango; smoked salmon roulade with melon; and lobster with crab roe and oyster leaf, guests will also enjoy dainty sweets including champagne mousse with strawberry jelly, lavender frosting cake, and Valrhona Caraibe 66 per cent dark chocolate mousse with praline and vanilla whipped cream. That’s not all, guests ordering the tea set will receive a series of exclusive offers: a 30-minute make-up and touch-up service at the M.A.C. What: Chocoholics rejoice—The Astor at Eaton HK has launched an indulgent whisky and chocolate-themed afternoon tea buffet to satisfy your sweet tooth this festive season. Apart from offering a wide range of sweet treats including dark chocolate whisky mousse, coffee cream with whisky foam and chocolate choux cream buff, the buffet also features a delicious spread of savouries such as roasted pineapple honey and glazed pork belly, grilled wings in whisky sauce and Japanese fried chicken with whisky mayonnaise, to name just a few. The Cakery, which is known as a local health bakery concept that offers vegan-friendly pastries made from natural sugars, good fats and proteins, is introducing a delicious vegan afternoon tea to whet your appetite this Christmas.
