Falling on June 20, Father's Day is the perfect occasion to recognise the role that your old man has played in your life. Whether it's a steak dinner, a roundtable Chinese feast, or a take-home barbecue set to let him shine at the grill, we've rounded up 10 of the best Father's Day menus to treat your dad to this month.

Zuma

You've no doubt tried Zuma's famous brunch before. For Father's Day, the feast will be extended to 3 hours with free-flow champagne, while guests have the option to upgrade to a main course of grilled 400g black Angus rib-eye steak with black pepper and soy. The pricing of the brunch is based on your preference for bubbly: the Signature includes R de Ruinart NV (HK$1,138 per person), the Deluxe offers Ruinart Blancs de Blancs (HK$1,488), while the Premium allows you to drink Dom Perignon to your heart's content (HK$2,280).

Pirata

Helmed by chef Emmanuele Canuto, Pirata’s Festa del Papa brunch starts off with a welcome drink of coffee-infused barrel-aged negroni, an antipasti platter and four sharing starters, before offering a choice of mains that includes lasagne alla bolognese, baked sea bass, and the wagyu beef cheek pappardelle, which is hand-shredded tableside. Alcoholic and champagne free-flow packages are also available as add-ons.

Porterhouse

If your old man is a seafood fiend, Porterhouse's seafood and carving brunch package (HK$498 per person) has everything you need to satisfy his culinary cravings. The free-flow buffet encompasses everything on offer at the seafood bar, carving station and dessert corner, and can be complemented with free-flow drinks packages, ranging from non-alcoholic options to bottomless Taittinger Brut Reserve and Bloody Marys.

Silencio

For Father’s Day, Silencio is serving a special four-course lunch (HK$348) from 18 to 20 June. Guests can look forward to dishes prepared by Chef Sato like starters of karaage and akami tuna, and mains of binchotan-grilled wagyu or the Boujee Sando with wagyu, caviar, Hokkaido uni, truffle and foie gras. Dads can also enjoy a complimentary Negroni that pairs wonderfully with Silencio’s modern Japanese cuisine.

Duddell's

Available only on June 20,  Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Duddell's has designed a Father's Day menu (HK$988 per person) featuring elevated takes on classic dishes, from steamed South African abalone with vermicelli and garlic, to crispy stuffed crab shell with fresh crab meat and Hokkaido milk. The meal ends on a sweet note with a bowl of silky walnut cream for a satisfying final touch.

Go all out for dinner at this Wan Chai temple to French-Japanese omakase with the special nine-course Father's Day menu. Highlights include Hida wagyu beef prepared two ways, where the rib-eye is cooked in shabu-shabu while the tenderloin is seared over charcoal to bring different mouthfeels to the fore; meanwhile, the abalone soup soumen bowl with fukinoto (Japanese butterbur), which offers a refreshing, yuzu-scented counterpoint to the meal. The dinner is priced at HK$2,280 per person.

The Chinese Library

Also offering a nine-course feast is The Chinese Library at Tai Kwun, this time of reinterpreted regional Chinese dishes (HK$788). From June 18 to 20, chef Junno Li will be cooking up dishes like the new pan-fried fresh abalone, signature laksa xiao long bao, wok-fried lobster and braised wagyu ribs. Once dinner is all wrapped up, move along to The Dispensary next door, where Dad can sip on a special Father's Day cocktail, the Rye Flame, made using Bulleit rye whiskey, Bulleit bourbon, white crème de cacao, cinnamon, egg white, and a dash of lemon.

Big Sur

Gather around the table at Big Sur for a dinner of Italian comfort food by new head chef Alberto Sancassani between June 18 and 20. Designed for four guests, the menu (HK$500 per person) begins with an antipasti platter that includes bites like burrata served with zucchini emulsion, porchetta on focaccia with honey and beer jus, and "Luciana" style baby octopus. For the primo, guests can expect a hearty pumpkin risotto with Taleggio and sausage, while the secondi is a choice of the Spezzatino, red wine-braised beef cheek served with polenta and anchovies with sage tempura, or squid ink battered codfish tempura served with onion jam. A dessert of tiramisu rounds up the feast.

Moon Lok Chiu Chow

Dads who skew traditional in their tastes would be well-suited to the two set dinner menus at newly opened Moon Lok Chiu Chow in Tsim Sha Tsui's Mira Place. At HK$588 per person, the Set of Joy menu includes highlights such as double-boiled bird’s nest in papaya, braised sea cucumber and goose web with shrimp roe, and deep-fried crispy pigeon; while the Set of Delight (HK$688) serves up delicacies like stewed dried Oma abalone with sea cucumber, stewed fish maw with fish ball and Chinese cabbage, and a longevity peach bun to represent good health for all.

22 Ships

In case your dad wants to flex his mastery of the garden grill (and who could blame him?), 22 Ships is offering a Spanish BBQ set (HK$1,998) that includes everything from Spanish octopus with mojo Verde sauce, and XXL carabineros prawns to 90-day aged Rubia beef with piquillo pepper; as well as trimmings like sourdough bread with tomato relish and Arbequina oil, green asparagus with romescu, and baby gem lettuce with pomegranate and sherry vinaigrette. For an additional HK$228, guests can add a pitcher of sangria to liven the festivities.
