After the successful launch of Japanese izakaya Fukuro in Central earlier this year, Black Sheep Restaurants is returning to Wan Chai with Artemis & Apollo. The group’s first Greek concept has soft opened on Moon Street, marking the third establishment from the group in the Star Street Precinct, after Le Garcon Saigon and its sister sandwich shop Le Petit Saigon.
The Greek concept is a first for the local restaurant group. The new 50-seat restaurant is separated into two adjacent shop fronts, each representing the legendary Greek god and goddess. Designed by Sean Dix, the interiors pay tribute to a traditional Greek taverna with domed ceilings over the dining room equipped with an open courtyard at the back for al fresco options.
aking the helm of the kitchen at Artemis & Apollo is head chef Andree LeFuel, whose previous tenures include working under renowned chefs such as Ludo Lefebvre and Daniel Boulud. At Artemis & Apollo, LeFuel will be going back to Greek basics for the offerings at the restaurant. Guests can enjoy an unhurried, casual meal featuring classics such as taramasalata, hummus and fava mash, best served alongside fried saganaki cheese. Larger mains to share include chicken or pork souvlaki, Steki Tou Illia lamb chops by the kilo, as well as grilled octopus and fried or grilled calamari, complemented by a rich range of Greek wines as well as ouzo, the country’s most notable high-proof spirit.
Artemis & Apollo is now open for dinner and drinks from Tuesdays to Sundays and accepts walk-ins only.
