The restaurant group’s third opening in 2017 aims to bring diverse colours and flavours Italy’s seaside regions

As Le Petit Saigon Launched earlier this summer and New Punjab Club are adding finishing touches in Central, Black Sheep Restaurants’ next project is catching up, as Osteria Marzia, the local group’s new Italian restaurant is tentatively opening in September after boutique hotel The Fleming’s full renovation.

Opening this September, Osteria Marzia gathers refreshing flavours along the seaside regions of Italy.  The menu honours the cuisine’s rich heritage and culinary traditions, highlighted with regional flavours and seasonal produce. Chef Luca Marianelli, formerly at Isono and Buenos Aires Polo Club, takes the kitchen helm as head chef of Osteria Marzia. Marianelli’s rich Italian heritage and his culinary training from esteemed chef Mauro Uliassi enrich his flair and passion for Italian cooking.

Designed by Substance, a local design firm, the casual Italian restaurant will remind guests of the sunny coast of Italy. Sea-blue banquette booths will line the airy spacious dining area, complete with a feature bar decorated with custom ocean-themed tiles and buoy-like lanterns suspended from the high ceiling. Guests can indulge in new classics such as red prawn with Sorrento lemon and olive oil, Bucatini Con Sarde, turbot Pizzaiola, and grilled beef sirloin with anchovy butter and shallots.

Osteria Marzia tentatively opens September, 2017.
