Blue Bar

Central

Inventive cocktails and high-class snacks raise the bar in this chic and sophisticated lounge

Blue Bar’s proximity to IFC in the Four Seasons Hong Kong hotel means the clientele is mostly corporate types and an eclectic mix of hotel guests, yet the bar still exudes a certain air of glamour. The cocktail list is comprised
of well-done classics as well as more out-of-the-box drinking choices. Take the Cucumber Bath: a mix of Hendricks gin, St. Germain, cold-pressed cucumber juice, fresh lime, sugar and—wait for it—dry sakura shrimp. It’s not your usual combination, yet one that works. For the less adventurous there’s a comprehensive wine list, while the extensive food menu will appeal to all, ranging from typical with a twist—think wagyu beef sliders with foie gras and kimchi, to Asian-inspired (Peking duck wraps)—to the health-aware (a superior salad selection). If you go during happy hour, the complimentary nibbles will likely suffice. Go on Fridays and Saturdays if you enjoy live music.
