Introducing the best way to enjoy dishes from the modern European restaurant in the comfort of your home

Cafe Gray Deluxe, The Upper House’s signature restaurant, is bridging the gap between practicing responsible social distancing and enjoying the luxury of eating restaurant-quality food and wine. With “Cafe Gray Deluxe At Home”, the team promises delivery with a difference, and that all the hard work of fine dining has already been done for you. With the sourcing, prepping and (most of the) cooking done, all that’s left is for you to do some simple assembly work to recreate and plate the restaurant dish at home.

Central to the offerings is the restaurant’s house-made pasta—a treat for a busy weeknight and/or when you can’t face kneading and rolling out your own—and you can opt for fresh tagliatelle with wild garlic pesto, or fresh spaghetti with puttanesca sauce. A refreshing lemongrass spring minestrone is the third option on the menu, served with focaccia and a ricotta spread. Each dish is priced at HK$250 and is enough to feed two.

In addition, the team have curated two wine pairings to go with the meal. Take your pick between the Pighin Pinot Grigio Friuli 2018 or the Viña Cobos “Felino” Malbec 2018—or, since each bottle is priced at a cool HK$190, get both.

The Upper House team recognises that not everyone is in the position to enjoy such luxuries in a time of a pandemic, and so Cafe Gray Deluxe have also partnered with the charity Foodlink Foundation to help disadvantaged communities affected by COVID-19. When ordering, you have the option to add HK$50 to the bill which will go towards purchasing a food bag (containing rice, noodles, oats, canned food and soup, cereal bars and hand sanitiser) which will be donated to needy individuals. You can also donate canned food items, which will be collected at the same time as when your meal is delivered.

You can order your Cafe Gray At Home meal for dinner any night of the week until 6pm daily; deliveries will be made between 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Simply Whatsapp the restaurant on +852 6535 6391 or email info@cafegrayhk.com—the order form is also available on the Upper House website.

In these trying times, Cafe Gray At Home is a simple way to support communities and businesses while staying socially responsible and, of course, enjoying a slice of culinary escapism in the comfort of your own space.
