The Mandarin Oriental’s stylish restaurant will celebrate its 50th anniversary with 1963 port, and more

This April, The Chinnery at The Mandarin Oriental in Central will be raising a glass to toast the hotel’s 50th anniversary with vintage port and fine wines and champagne. From April 8 The Chinnery will offer a port flight, consisting of 1963 Single Harvest Tawny Port, Taylor’s Late Bottled Vintage 2007, and Taylor’s 10-year-old Tawny Port, priced at HK$208. The flights can be paired with a charcuterie platter at an additional HK$158.

In addition, April 11 will see a special one-off dinner hosted by Nicolas Heath, the marketing director of Fladgate Partnership. The four-course meal will feature some of the restaurant’s signature dishes and a selection of fine cheeses served alongside the port flight. Highlights from the menu include:

- Home smoked salmon with buckwheat blinis and sour cream
- Rhug Estate chicken with truffle and foie gras, mashed potato and mushroom
- Baked rhubarb crumble with vanilla bean ice cream

The dinner is priced at HK$1,288 per person.
