The Indian concept is set to present street food-inspired menu offerings
Inspired by street food culture from India, Rosewood Hong Kong is presenting Chaat, an Indian restaurant concept this May 2020, where guests can indulge in exotic morsels rooted from the rich heritage of the tropical country.
The new Indian concept will join Bayfare Social and grill house Henry on level 5 of Rosewood Hong Kong. Inspired by traditional street snacks enjoyed during his childhood in central India, the establishment’s chef de cuisine Manav Tuli is reinventing his nostalgic treats through a trio of tandoor ovens installed at the Rosewood restaurant kitchen. Manav developed his techniques for a new style of Indian cuisine, working in the states of Kerala and Rajasthan. In 2011 he joined Chutney Mary Chelsea as sous chef and, in 2019, went on to open contemporary Indian restaurant Tamarind in 2019—the first Indian restaurant in London to earn a Michelin star.
