Deck the halls and set the table with these festive delights for that impromptu party at home

The best strategy for throwing a Christmas party at home is to spend as much time with the guests while still managing to put a gourmet spread on the table. Below is a selection of Christmas offerings best for those who enjoy throwing a good dinner party without the trouble of laborious prep time.

From now until December 31, the festive desk at The Four Seasons Hong Kong will assist with dining reservations and shopping at the hotel. Aside from homemade reindeer cupcakes and Christmas stollens which make great Christmas staples, the hotel’s executive chef Andrea Accordi is presenting three delectable festive roasts, including a slow-roasted Christmas turkey (6-7 kg), complete with trimmings such as red cabbage, cranberry compote, purple sweet potato mash, chestnut stuffing, pickled Cipollini onions and rosemary jus.

Alternatively, Accordi is showcasing his signature salt-and-herb crusted Mayura beef short loin served with black truffle and potato gratin, red onion marmalade, Romanesco and mustard jus, as well as 8-kg French bone-in gammon ham, glazed with honey, mustard, and spices, served alongside Hokkaido pumpkin mash with amaretti, caramelised chestnuts, cinnamon glazed baby carrots, Brussels sprouts and horseradish jus.

The festive Christmas takeaway dinners are available at the Festive Desk up to 72 hours in advance. The slow-roasted turkey is priced at HK$2,680 per set, Mayura short loin at HK$4,850 per set, and French gammon ham at HK$2,680 per set, each portioned for eight to ten servings.

Lan Kwai Fong’s American restaurant Lily and Bloom is extending its popular Thanksgiving offerings till the end of this holiday season. The restaurant’s executive chef Chris Grare is presenting a traditional family feast, featuring an American heritage turkey, complete with fresh cranberry sauce and gravy, alongside sausage and sage stuffing, roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon, truffle mash, creamed spinach, maple sweet potato mash, as well as Thanksgiving pumpkin pie as desserts. After the launch of a collection of new cakes in collaboration with model Amanda S, Habitu is enriching its Christmas offerings with three festive menus this holiday season, available from now until January 1, 2018. The café-restaurant concept is launching the Habitu Luxury Menu, a seven-course feast including notable offerings such as pistachio-crusted whole halibut fillet, avocado organic quinoa kale Caesar, seared jumbo scallops wrapped with crispy bacon, and sea urchin and Avruga caviar carbonara. The festive menu for eight to ten guests is available upon three-day reservations and is priced at HK$2,988 per set. Turkey lovers can also indulge in a 5kg roasted U.S. ranch-raised young turkey with rosemary, turkey jus and strawberry rose chutney priced at HK$980, available for order at all Habitu outlets.
