Italian chef Antimo Maria Merone has opened Estro, his first solo restaurant in collaboration with Yenn Wong of Jia Group

 

It’s not only the stunning André Fu-designed interior that sets Estro—with its bold tones, textured wallpapers and muralled alcoves—apart from other restaurants in Hong Kong, but also the elegant Italian cuisine. With a focus on dishes from chef Antimo Maria Merone’s home of Naples, this is refined Italian fare at its best. An extended tasting menu offers no fewer than three pasta dishes, each one with considered flavour combinations and premium ingredients perfectly prepared; while the other dishes, which include a supremely creamy pistachio gelato to close, are similarly impressive. Keeping the fine fare company is a comprehensive list of wines of Italian provenance, as well as an exclusive collection of fine and rare bottles. Everything is expertly delivered by professional, passionate staff.
