The former executive chef of the revered Japanese restaurant in Central launches his eponymous establishment this summer

After two decades in the restaurant industry, Shigeru Tanigawa, former executive chef of Central’s Shikigiku (formerly known as Inagiku) has opened his eponymous restaurant in Sheung Wan. His new establishment is set to showcase the delicate art of kaiseki, featuring premium seasonal ingredients.

Tanigawa based his menu offerings on his wealth of expertise in Japanese cuisine and presents a seasons-driven kaiseki menu featuring dishes such as wagyu teppanyaki with tomato and green pepper, and simmered kamonasu aubergine.

Tanigawa is open for both lunch and dinner service, with set menus and kaiseki available.
