The Sovereign Art Foundation is set to host a charity dinner at Tai Kwun’s new Thai restaurant this October

It’s one of the most exciting openings of the season, and those who want to sample David Thompson’s new restaurant Aaharn in Tai Kwun  before it opens this October now have a chance to enjoy the exclusive Thai cuisine prepared by the acclaimed chef. The Sovereign Art Foundation is launching a new sweepstake campaign, where participating donors will have the chance to win dining prizes, including a dinner for four at Aaharn on October 10.

The Sovereign Art Foundation is a charitable organisation that aims to empower disadvantaged children by offering grants to charity partners as well as funding for the Make It Better programme, a project involving local community centres and schools that offer complimentary art-therapy-led workshops to disadvantaged and financially-deprived children. This year, the foundation is launching numerous sweepstakes for fundraising purposes.

Each entry to the sweepstakes is priced at a minimum of HK$50 per donation to the Make It Better Programme made on or before midnight of September 23. Donations can be made here. Each of the 15 winners will win a VIP dinner for four at Aaharn on October 10, where chef David Thompson will host and design a special dinner menu, paired with free-flow champagne, red, and white wine. Each ticket entry to the sweepstakes will also double as a 10% discount voucher for a future visit to Aaharn, valid until September 10, 2019. The first 100 participants to the campaign with HK$1000 donation or above will also receive a signed copy of Thompson’s “Thai Food” cookbook.

Winners of the sweepstakes campaign will be announced on September 24. Watch this space as we bring you the latest on David Thompson and the soon-to-open Aaharn.
