Celebrate the Italian Ferragosto festival this August

Limited to two weekends in August, Grissini will be launching a Ferragosto-themed brunch menu to celebrate the holiday in which Italians take a break from work, feast and socialise with friends and family.

Chef de cuisine Valerio Mandile has created this new brunch menu to echo the festival in Italy. The set menu features sharing starters, a main course and dessert.

Highlights include the Bottoni di bufala, a dish of Campanian buffalo ricotta and mozzarella stuffed bottoni with courgettes and mint. Campania is recognised as the region for premium buffalo milk cheese which offers a balance of creaminess and acidity. The bottoni is served with courgettes prepared in three ways; courgettes emulsion, courgettes chips, and courgettes and mint-infused extra virgin olive oil.

Another notable dish is Anguria, which is watermelon in Italian. Mandile has sourced this fruit from Italy for diners to enjoy and cool down from the summer heat. It is a refreshing and hydrating way to end the meal and is perfect on its own without adding any other ingredients.

The Ferragosto brunch menu is only available on August 12, 13, 19, and 20, 2023.
