In a tribute to its storied legacy, The Peninsula Hong Kong and its fine dining French restaurant, Gaddi’s, will host a gala dinner on December 18 to celebrate the anniversaries of both establishments. This exclusive event promises an elegant evening with a seven-course menu created by chef Albin Gobil, showcasing dishes like Kaviari Daurikus caviar with Tsar Nikolai Balik salmon and Bresse chicken parfait with white Piedmont truffle. Each dish is a nod to the restaurant's heritage, served on bespoke Bernardaud tableware. The dinner is heightened with pairings of exquisite French wines, including a special Domaine Remoissenet Père & Fils Vosne-Romanée 1953, marking the year of Gaddi’s opening.

Diners will also be treated to a live performance by pianist Carol Yu while mementoes, including a remastered vinyl of The Keymen’s 1966 album, are gifted to guests as keepsakes. Priced at HK$9,888 per person, this gala is a celebration of 70 years of culinary and cultural excellence. Contact Gaddi’s at +852 2696 6763 or gaddis@peninsula.com for more information and bookings.

From November 30, DarkSide at Rosewood Hong Kong is introducing a new Yin Yang cocktail menu. This new collection, created under the expert guidance of Simone Rossi, draws inspiration from the ancient Chinese philosophy of duality and interconnectedness. The menu juxtaposes the concepts of Yin and Yang, with each element reflecting the balance of opposing yet complementary forces in life, such as light and dark, warmth and coolness, and joy and sadness.

The menu offers eight cocktails, each priced at HK$198. These drinks are divided into four Yin and four Yang-themed pairs, including Sun and Moon, Heaven and Earth, River and Mountain, and Brightside and Darkside, embodying the essence of their respective elements and chosen ingredients. Cocktails to try include the Moon cocktail, a milk punch-inspired drink with Matusalem 15-year-old rum and osmanthus, and the robust Darkside, which blends Rémy Martin VSOP Cognac with Michter's Rye Whiskey. The new cocktail menu will also feature an interactive element, where guests can spin a wheel to let fate decide their drink. To complement the drinks, glassware has been custom-made to showcase the blend of Yin and Yang, such as 3D-printed and handcrafted glass and porcelain creations from local Hong Kong studios Soekjing Studio, Tung Yao Production and 3D Vault.
