Furniture brand Timothy Oulton’s first restaurant aims to delight with stylish designs and contemporary British fare

Interior design plays a crucial role in one’s restaurant experience; at least this is the case for us. The first impression often starts the moment we enter the restaurant, letting the ambiance and design sink in before we order. Understanding the significance of style in a restaurant, furniture brand Timothy Oulton is presenting Gough’s on Gough, the label’s first restaurant, tentatively opening later this month.

The two-storey restaurant and bar takes on the brand’s iconic style, with elements from vintage British inspired interiors with handcrafted design pieces that embrace British heritage. The restaurant takes on a more casual but refined dining format, featuring dishes designed and prepared by the team led by head chef Arron Rhodes, formerly of Dot Cod. Guests can anticipate modern British signatures such as:

- Dashi: custard, sea urchin
-  Roasted oyster bay lamb ribs
-  Scottish brown crab, green apple, seaweed, ewe milk ricotta and charred cucumber salad
-  Peruvian corn, Chicha Morada infused corn, ceviche sauce, popped Kaniwa grains and warm avocado
- Grass-fed wagyu, textures forested shallots, porcini milk sauce and creamed potatoes

The 50-seat restaurant is set to open late June 2017.
