This November, don’t hold back as Hong Kong is pulling out all the stops for the return of the Great November Feast, a month-long celebration of all things gourmet in the city

The Great November Feast, Hong Kong Tourism Board's annual celebration of dining, will take place from 1-30 November, as the fourth edition of the culinary festival sees over 600 participating restaurants and wine merchants across the city—all of whom have come together to celebrate Hong Kong’s unique and diverse culinary scene. From luxurious tasting menus at Michelin-starred restaurants to quintessential Hong Kong street food including siu mei (barbecued meats), egg waffles and noodles, there is truly something for everyone.

Fans of fine dining will be spoilt for choice by the gourmet menus offered on FeedMe Guru, an online booking platform that offers unique tasting menus all over Hong Kong. For the Great November Feast, the menus have been designed after five of the most sought-after ingredients in Hong Kong by food-lovers: truffle, lobster, sea urchin, oyster and steak. Truffle season at Caprice

At three Michelin-starred Caprice, the Le Diamant d’Alba menu celebrates white truffle season with a four-course menu starting with fresh farm eggs with white truffle, mushroom and argan oil and a delicate scampi carpaccio with celeriac remoulade, white truffle and quince vinaigrette. To follow, indulge in scallop with corn risotto, ham and crispy pork feet with white truffle and yellow wine sauce and a truffle-themed dessert with a sweet mix of caramel and hazelnut.

Lobster love at FoFo by el Willy

At FoFo by el Willy, Barcelona chef Alex Fargas has created a special five-course lobster dinner menu starting with warm lobster “escabeche” and crispy paella crackers and slow-cooked lobster with potatoes, pancetta and bisque. The lobster love continues with a tasty lobster-infused rice with squid ink sauce, followed by wagyu beef with truffle sauce and homemade apple tart to finish.

Sizzling steak at The Steak House

Fans of steak can enjoy prime cuts of the world’s finest meat at The Steak House at The InterContinental Hong Kong, where the Great November Feast menu starts with a trip to the salad bar or lobster bisque. This is followed by a main from the charcoal grill (U.S.D.A. tenderloin, U.S.D.A. rib eye or jumbo king prawns) served with truffle mash and assorted vegetables, and a signature dessert sampler of chocolate fondant and apple crumble to end the meal.

Sea urchin delights at Hexa

Sea urchin, or uni, takes centre stage this November at Hexa, a Cantonese restaurant at Harbour City with 270-degree harbour views. The four-course menu begins with a jet-fresh French oyster served with uni and champagne jelly, followed by chilled Japanese snapper and uni. Next, fill up on a bowl of hearty braised pearl rice with Hokkaido conpoy and uni before moving onto dessert—spicy ice cream sprinkled with rock salt and topped with more uni.

Oyster surprises at Tea WG

Oyster and tea come together tastefully in a four-course oyster and tea pairing dinner at Tea WG this month. Dishes include a creamy potato and leek soup topped with sun-dried golden oyster and sweet potatoes (paired with Jasmine Queen tea), house-smoked French Fine de Claire oyster served with baby spinach coulis and baked garlic cream (paired with houjicha) and Japanese oyster tempura on top of fresh fettuccine tossed in an oyster and coppa ham sauce (paired with Yunnan Golden Needles tea).
