Keep the festive feeling going with a one-of-a-kind dining experience at The Ritz-Carlton’s flagship Cantonese restaurant and Hennessy Paradis

While Christmas has come and gone, it doesn’t mean that the season of giving and treating yourself has to end just yet. From now until the end of February 2021, there is ample time to indulge yourself—or a loved one—with a bottle of rare cognacs, and continue to be rewarded for it as well. For those who love fine spirits and the very best cuisine, there is a rare opportunity to experience just how Hennessy’s rare cognacs are the perfect accompaniment to Tin Lung Heen chef Paul Lau’s culinary wizardry.

As a leader in the cognac trade, Hennessy’s collection is built on more than 250 years of history and know-how. Their three rare cognacs—Hennessy Paradis, Hennessy Paradis Imperial, and Richard Hennessy—are regarded as among the finest and most complex expressions of the genre. Each bottle features blends of eaux-de-vie matured from decades to centuries—the most prestigious and historic of them all being the Richard Hennessy, which has the honour of including extremely rare matured eaux-de-vie dating back as far as the early 19th century in its unique blend of more than 100 exceptional expressions.

Owning a bottle is thus already a worthy celebration—and now, for every purchase of a bottle of Hennessy Paradis Imperial, connoisseurs will also receive a dining experience at for The Ritz-Carlton’s Tin Lung Heen restaurant.

It’s a natural alliance as the delicate profile of chef Lau’s contemporary Cantonese dishes are designed to elevate the floral aromas of Hennessy Paradis, as well as complement its notes of honey and light spices. On the menu, you’ll find perfect pairing dishes such as the restaurant’s signature barbecued Iberian pork with honey; double-boiled chicken soup with fish maw in baby coconut; pan-fried scallop with salmon roe and black truffle; steamed garoupa fillet with Jinhua ham and superior bird’s nest; and steamed crab claw with egg white. With its silky texture and flavours of dried rose petals, truffle and honey with minute hints of cinnamon, cardamom and preserved fruits, Hennessy Paradis is a drink to be savoured with every bite. So, why don’t you go and treat yourself?

Hennessy’s Paradis Impérial and Richard Hennessy are available now at Liquid Gold and Rare & Fine Wines outlets across the city.
