The one-night-only exclusive dinner event gathers the city’s best tastemakers for a specially designed menu for a good cause
Since its launch in London by Clerkenwell Boy and Serena Guen in 2016, the Cook For Syria (#CookForSyria) movement has raised awareness and funds for children in Syria. Through a series of supper clubs, restaurant donations, pop-up dinners and cookbook sales, the charity movement has expanded to New York, Australia and now Hong Kong.
On October 26, this global charity campaign will be hosted at Beef & Liberty in Lan Kwai Fong featuring a Syrian-inspired menu. 110 guests in town will exclusively enjoy an eight-course dinner, free-flow beverages and raffle prizes. The dinner menu is designed and prepared by the city’s most esteemed tastemakers including:
- Peggy Chan (Grassroots Pantry)
- Jim Lofdahl (Frantzen’s Kitchen)
- Agustin Balbi (Haku)
- Nathan Green (Rhoda)
- Nicolas Boutin (Epure)
- David Lai (Neighborhood)
- Uwe Opocensky (Beef & Liberty and Restaurant Uwe)
- Nicholas Chew (Serge et le Phoque)
Tickets for the one-night charity event are priced at HK$1,200 per person and are available here. The Hong Kong Committee for Unicef will be the beneficiary of ticket sales and proceeds for charity auction donated to children affected by the humanitarian crisis in Syria.
