The celebrated champagne house presents a monthly gourmet celebration in Hong Kong starting with prized white truffles from Alba

Autumn is the perfect occasion to celebrate white truffles, whose earthy aroma reigns supreme in the world of prized delicacies. This season, celebrated champagne house Laurent-Perrier is presenting a month-long promotion, collaborating with Island Shangri-la’s Restaurant Petrus, to present the earthy mushroom harvested from Alba, Italy. 

From now until November 30, guests visiting Petrus can indulge in a special Alba white truffle menu, featuring dishes created by the restaurant’s chef de cuisine Ricardo Chaneton, whose previous tenures include apprenticeship at Spain’s Quique Dacosta as well as working alongside chef Mauro Colagreco at his restaurant Mirazur in France. Chef Chaneton is presenting two white truffle menu, a four-course and six-course respectively, showcasing the prized morsels harvested and imported directly from Alba, Italy.

Guests can enjoy simple flavours that accentuate the earthy aroma of the white truffles, through dishes such as traditional risotto cacio e pepe, Hokkaido scallops tartare with cauliflower mousse and Romanesco florets, and Brittany line caught turbot with Parmentier consommé, among many.

The four-course Alba white truffle menu is priced at HK$1,980 per person, and the six-course menu at HK$2,980 per person. An additional wine pairing option is available at HK$1,500 per person, including a pairing with Laurent-Perrier’s Grand Siècle Grande Cuvée. Guests can also indulge in additional order of white truffles shaved on each dish at HK$138 per gram.
