Maximal Concepts To Open Sip Song Thai Eatery & Bar In Repulse Bay
Following the success of Limewood, Maximal Concepts is set to open a new Thai restaurant in Repulse Bay this July. The local restaurant group will launch Sip Song, a Thai eatery and bar that aims to transport guests to the Southern coast of the popular South-East Asian destination.
Inspired by the beach culture in Thailand and the food and drink options available at the vibrant night markets, Nuch Srichantranon, Sip Song’s head chef, is presenting Bangkok’s colorful culture to Sip Song. A native to Thailand’s capital, Srichantranon’s notable restaurant experience includes his tenure at Melbourne-based Thai restaurant Chin Chin as well as Hong Kong’s Mak Mak before joining Maximal Concepts last year.
Referencing the dynamic flavours, premium ingredients and techniques learned during his professional experience in Australia, Srichantranon and Maximal Concepts' group executive chef Russell Doctrove will showcase a number of signature dishes including Thai son-in-law scotch egg with minced chicken, crispy shallot and chilli; whole steamed mullet fish with fresh Thai herbs, shimeji mushroom and chilli-fish broth; drunken-style spicy noodles with free-range chicken, peppercorns, baby corn and lime leaf; and ube ice cream with coconut, taro chips, salted peanuts and Thai whiskey caramel.
Sip Song is set to open July 2019. Watch this space as we bring you the latest updates on its opening.
