The Japanese restaurant at Island Shangri-La showcases the season’s limited-edition menu

Celebrating the upcoming cherry blossom blooming season, Nadaman of Island Shangri-La Hong Kong is presenting a new bento box inspired by Japan’s prized spring blossoms. The sakura-inspired bento box will showcase seasonal items served in aesthetically remarkable forms fit for the month of ohanami, or flower viewing. From now until April 30, guests can indulge in a refreshing starter of chilled cappellini with octopus, rape blossoms and dried mullet roe, followed by a steamed snow crab and sticky rice dumpling in steamed egg custard with citrus pepper sauce. Other highlights include the bento box filled with milk tofu with sea urchin, teriyaki goose liver salad, simmered Japanese pork belly with mashed potatoes, and broiled silver cod with citrus soy sauce, among many. The sakura-inspired bento box set is available during both lunch and dinner and is priced at HK$560 per person.
