Wagyu Takumi alumnus Mitsuru Konishi returns to Hong Kong with his new fine dining establishment

After the success of exclusive French-Japanese restaurant Wagyu Takumi, Japanese chef Mitsuru Konishi is making a return to Hong Kong this month to open Zest by Konishi, his new restaurant concept. Opened and operated by Lai Sun Dining, which also runs 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana and Beefbar, Zest by Konishi is set to present the esteemed chef’s signature French-Japanese fare.

Taking over the two-storey space that formerly housed On Dining, Zest by Konishi is divided into two zones: the dining room on the 28th floor features the chef’s signature degustation menu as well as a la carte options during both lunch and dinner services. On the 29th floor guests can indulge in Japanese-inspired craft cocktails that matches with express set menus and bento lunches. Honing his expertise through his previous tenures at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Tokyo and Taillevent in France, Konishi blends his Japanese flair with contemporary French techniques, both of which are presented in his menu offerings at Zest.
