Celebrated for its afternoon tea offerings against the stunning harbour backdrop,  the Lobby Lounge of InterContinental Hong Kong is collaborating with prestigious champagne house Perrier-Jouët to launch a new “Belle Epoque” Afternoon Tea set.

The new afternoon tea set is inspired by Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2007, blending Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinots Meuniers to create a perfectly balanced cuvee. The 2007 vintage glistens with a golden hue and vibrant bubbles, followed by citrus aromas, stone fruit and mineral notes, and notes of white fruit and almonds on the palate. The creators behind this afternoon tea are the hotel’s executive chef Nicolas Canuti and executive pastry chef Cyril Dupuis. Together the team revamps the tea set for an array of sweet and savoury morsels best paired with the exclusive champagne. Notable items include:

- Heirloom cherry tomatoes and shrimp with garlic mayonnaise
- Pastrami beef sandwich
- Blackberry tea dome
- Rose petal cheese cake
- Orange blossom puff pastry

The tiered afternoon tea celebration completes with plain and ginger scones served with Devonshire clotted cream and fresh fruit jam, as well as a surprise pass-around dessert.

The exclusive Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque afternoon tea is available at the Lobby Lounge from August 15 to October 31 and is priced at HK$1,628 for two, including one glass of the prized champagne per person, or HK$2,788 for two inclusive of one bottle of the exclusive Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque 2007.
