Get ready for limited edition morsels on Star Street, from meatballs to mini donuts

Pirata Group is launching Balls, a new pop-up restaurant in Star Street Precinct. Set to open for 100 days only, the venue is set to feature all forms of ball-shaped foods, from meatballs to falafels, designed and prepared by the chefs across Pirata Group’s establishments.

From now until February 8, 2018, Pirata Group will transform the space into a new time-limited concept, joined by frontmen from the group’s restaurants: Arturo Melendez from Tokyolima, Alfredo Rodriguez from The Optimist, Paddy McDermott from Meats, Pici’s Andrea Viglione, Pirata’s Stefano Rossi, and a chef from their soon-to-launch new project. Notable offerings include:

-  Bolas Latinas with Peruvian aji panca chillies (Tokyolima)
-  Meatsballs (Meats)
-  Stefano’s Big Sub (Pirata)
-  Ste Palle!, homemade tagliatelle with arrabbiata sauce and beef-and-pork meatballs (Pici)
-  Free Balling, falafel with hummus, mint yoghurt and warm pita (from Pirata’s soon-to-be revealed concept)

Guests can also indulge in a short selection of appetisers such as mozzarella di bufala and beef carpaccio, as well as desserts including soft serve ice cream, or sweet balls, or housemade cinnamon jam doughnuts with vanilla custard sauce. Aside from a la carte options, the restaurant also offers a special tasting menu where guests can enjoy a sample of three ball-themed dishes, alongside two appetisers and one dessert priced at HK$248 per person.

The new pop-up restaurant opens Tuesdays to Sundays and can seat up to 40 guests in the main dining room or in the al fresco terrace.
