Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong’s Christmas Gourmet Showcase
With less than one month to go before the most important holiday of the winter season, one should plan ahead for celebrations, which are best shared with family and friends. This holiday season, Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong is launching a collection of new festive activities and promotions from two of its dining establishments: Café Renaissance and Mirage Bar and Restaurant.
Specializing in buffets featuring diverse cuisines and a wide range of seafood selections, Café Renaissance is presenting a delectable buffet feast for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Guests can begin with a variety of seafood including oysters, Alaskan snow crab legs, mussels, and assorted sashimi to Scallop tartare, followed by holiday-exclusive main courses such as roasted turkey and roasted bourbon glazed ham to start, followed by Steamed lobster, sizzling grilled beef tenderloin from Australia and lamb from New Zealand.
Café Renaissance’s dessert showcase is staying true to Christmas joy, as the pastry team prepares Christmas tree and snowman lollipops, Christmas wreath cake, Chestnut Yule Log and Panettone pudding. The exclusive buffet offerings# at Café Renaissance are only available on December 24 and 25 from 12:00noon to 2:30 pm, priced at HK$538 per adult and HK$328 per child. For dinner buffet, the restaurant has divided guests into two seating: 5-30pm – 7:45 pm and 8:30 pm – 11:15 pm. The earlier seating is priced at HK$698 per adult and children are HK$418 per person. The second seating is priced at HK$718 per adult and HK$428 per child.
On New Year’s Eve, Café Renaissance continues its signature buffet dinner, allowing guests to start with seasonally imported seafood, followed by grilled meats and an array of desserts. Café Renaissance’s New Year’s Eve dinner buffet menu is priced at HK$698 per adult and HK$418 for children. Prices include unlimited juices, soft drinks and party favours.
At Mirage Bar and Restaurant, a semi-buffet gourmet feast is available on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The selection includes offerings at the appetizer counter, including farmed caviar, mussels and foie gras on toast. Guests can also select from a variety of main courses, notably including the restaurant’s signature bone-in USDA ribeye with potatoes and truffle butter, or confit turkey with sea and pumpkin ravioli in winter truffle jus. Desserts are particularly impressive at Mirage, as the pastry team is presenting unique desserts such as the Christmas tree profiteroles, and classic colorful Calissons and homemade stollen. The delectable festive meal is available on December 24 and 25 between 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm. The menu is priced at HK$398 per person, and HK$308 for children (lunch) and adults at HK$598 and children at HK$408 (dinner)
During the holiday seasons, executive pastry chef of Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Roger Fok is presenting an all-new Christmas inspired afternoon tea, featuring a number of sweet and savoury treats, including confit turkey leg and cranberry aioli on Turkish bread, or avocado and heirloom tomatoes with croissant, as well as sweet delights including the white chocolate snowman, reindeer Lamington, Renaissance cheesecake, and Chocolate Yule Log, among many. The festive afternoon tea also includes a special Häagen-Dazs mochi ice cream. The holiday exclusive afternoon tea set is priced at HK$188 per person, available from December 1-26 from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
On New Year’s Eve, Mirage is welcoming 2018 with semi-buffet offerings with bubbly. Guests can sample an all-new seafood platter featuring farmed caviar, razor clams and Boston lobster, followed by a choice of main courses including the restaurant’s signature Spanish red prawn risotto with shellfish sea foam, followed by unique dessert varieties such as fireworks truffles, red wine poached pear, strawberry with champagne foam, and chestnut Yule Log. Each pair of guests attending Mirage’s semi-buffet feast on New Year’s Eve can enjoy a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and cheers to welcome 2018. The semi-buffet dinner on New Year’s Eve is available from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm, priced at HK$1,188 per person. From 11:00 pm to 1:00 am, Mirage will host a Countdown party, where guests can welcome 2018 with canapes and champagne. Tickets are priced at HK$300 per person (1 glass of Charles Heidsieck champagne and canapes) and HK$1,080 per person (1 bottle of Charles Heidsieck champagne and canapes).
