Guests can indulge in a fortnight of mid-afternoon luxuries this December

Christmas is only a month away, and luxury indulgences are called for during this festive season. With this in mind, The Lounge and Bar at the Ritz-Carlton is launching its first caviar-themed afternoon tea for a fortnight in December.

From December 16 to January 2, 2017, guests can enjoy a new, limited-edition afternoon tea set showcasing Prunier Caviar, the hotel’s first collaboration with the caviar house for afternoon tea showcase. The Prunier caviar is harvested from farmer young Acipenser Baerii sturgeon and is celebrated for its light, briny touch. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the caviar with blinis, served on the side with a range of condiments.

Sweet and savoury morsels at the afternoon tea set are specially designed and crafted by the experienced kitchen team led by the hotel’s executive pastry chef Richard Long. Festive bites served available at the afternoon tea set include:

- Devil egg
- Crabmeat tart
- Gingerbread sandwich with smoked turkey and cranberry jam
- Salted caramel, pistachio and ‘jivara’ gingerbread cream
- Mont Blanc raspberry choux
- Plain and raisin scones with jam and clotted cream

The festive caviar-themed afternoon tea is available from December 16, 2016 to January 2, 2017. The tea set is priced at HK$548 per person.
