Lifestyle diva Bonnie Gokson presents SEVVA Sounds

Few of our readers may remember this but before Bonnie Gokson was synonymous with the wildly successful restaurant SEVVA at Prince's Building in Central or the popular cakery Ms. B's CAKERY on Gough Street; she was also the host of a popular local radio show in the mid-90s and even released an album of her favourite jazz tunes.

Gokson makes her return to the music scene with the debut of "SEVVA Sounds", a sophisticated collection of standards, pop jazz and bossa nova that often sets the mood of the trendy restaurant and bar. A number of artists including Pamela Joy, Tony DeSare, Chris Botti and Aaron Neville are featured on the CD.

"SEVVA Sounds" is being launched on Tuesday 18th October with a cocktail party, which will feature live jazz from 6pm to 9pm. More exciting, however, is that this will be followed by a fortnight of live jazz at SEVVA, culminating in a two-night concert by Quincy Jones Production on Saturday 29th October and Sunday 30th October.

The October 29 concert starts at 9.30pm and is priced at HK$2,200 for a dinner and concert; or HK$1,200 for champagne and concert. The October 30 concert starts earlier at 6.30pm and is priced at HK$1,600 for champagne, tapas and concert. Both concerts will feature jazz pianist Alfredo Rodrigues and bass Richard Bona.
