Sri Lanka’s Ministry Of Crab To Stage At Island-Shangri-La This Spring
With Test Kitchen celebrating the exotic fusion of Australian and Indonesian cuisines with chefs from Ku De Ta Bali this month, Island Shangri-la is having its own tropical celebration. This month, the hotel is hosting an exclusive one-night-only dining event featuring the rich array of seafood dishes by Dharshan Munidasa, chef, and restaurateur behind celebrated concepts in Sri Lanka such as Nihonbashi and Ministry of Crab.
On March 29, Munidasa is heading to Hong Kong for the one-night culinary showcase. The chef rose to fame as he opened Japanese restaurant Nihonbashi in Colombo in 1995, followed by the highly successful Ministry of Crab in 2011. The latter showcased the island nation’s popular lagoon crabs as the key ingredient for its classic dishes. The two restaurants have been recurring favorites at the annual Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards since 2015.
For one night only, Munidasa will present a six-course seafood menu showcasing his signature dishes prepared with fresh Sri Lankan seafood at Lobster Bar and Grill. The exclusive menu is priced at HK$920 per person.
